Guten Tag, once again.

You would think my blog would get deleted for never being used. Luckily, it doesn't work that way. And luckily I want to try this blogging stuff again.  I changed my blog name. Not that Mariah C. didn't fit me, because it did, it is my name after all.

Life Of A Babysitting Junkie.

That is its new name. Lame? Probably. I am not creative. Let me explain it a little...
1: I babysit all. of. the. time. Sometimes, it pisses me off a lot. Other times, and most of the time, I enjoy it and realize how easy of a life I have.

2: My blog is where I will blog about myself. Therefore, my life.

3: I'm a Junkie. But not really. I can't explain that.

Since I baby sit so much, I am always thinking about it. With Summer sneaking right up on me, I will have 3 more kids at home with me and my other 2 little humans. That means Mariah vs. 5 children. Does that scare anyone else? Because it scares the poop right out of me! And I think I might have lots of fun, funny. scary, exciting, and weird things to blog about!

Latest obsessions.

Well, hello! Long time no see. So, since I spend most of my life babysitting, I don't have a lot to do. I turn to my trusty friend Netflix daily. Sometimes more then once a day as a matter of fact. It doesn't sound like a problem... But I become a little obsessive with the shows I find to watch. It started with Desperate Housewives. I'm a huge fan. Like, I would compare my life to gabby, brea, Lynette, and Susan. Pathetic, I know. I just like trashy dramatic tv shows. The bad news is I got to last episode (one hundred and fifty something) so then I had to find something else to watch. I tried army wives, sister wives, practically all of the good "wife" shows, but nothing was tickling my fancy. But then i was introduced to Vampire Diaries. It has nothing to do with wives. But, it got my attention. I don't know if anyone but me watches it. If you don't you should start. Not only because the boys are handsome, but it has some good super natural drama!! Okay, so that was lame of me to say... But it's totally true. I'm in love with the show, it's better then Twilight... :D it's not as cheesy. It gives me the twitter patted feeling. Haha. I love it. Im more then half way done with it, and starting to feel sad. So, if anyone knows of other good, dramatic, netflix shows, fill me in. :)

One Year.

April 27th of 2010 was definitely not one of my favorite days. So coming back to an April 27th a year later is still no fun. A lot easier a year later for sure. Since Paul died my life has changed in more ways then just loosing him. Ways that are to get used to, but things I am willing to change to feel closer Paul, and help his children remember him. I like to think that I am doing something that he would be grateful for and proud of. Since April 27th of 2010 I have learned a lot, grown a lot, and missed a lot.

Of course I miss everything about Paul, but off the top of my head I have a few that stick out, or things I am currently remembering about him.

  • What up Yiy Dog” in Paul’s happy to see me voice
  • An extremely large Mt. Dew sitting on our table
  • The way his “sun” tattoo would get red bulging eyeballs when it was sun burnt
  • The ability to text him to have him come help me move a fridge into my parents house. That he practically ended up moving by himself
  • The way he wore long socks even with shorts
  • The way he would sit when he was at the dinner table
  • His “Big Dog” shirts/tanks
  • His big heart
  • How great of a dad he was
  • His green bay hat
  • His breakfast burritos

Story time!

The day Kayson was born, my mom and I were hangin with Khera and Paul in the hospital.  Of course we got hungry so my mom and Paul went to Burger King to get food for us. Paul thought he was getting me NORMAL chicken sandwich, but it was far from normal. He brought me back a flame thrower. :) I don’t even remember if I was able to eat it because it was so hot. So funny to Paul, but I remember not laughing to much then as I do when I think of it now.

Man how the year went by fast. One of my biggest goals now is to make sure we help the boys remember Paul, carry on traditions Paul did, and try to incorporate some of Paul into how we raise the Dylan and Kayson. Kayson definitely loves his daddy though. He points at the pictures of Paul daily and says “Me dad!”. I’m not necessarily worried they will forget him, I am mostly worried that we wont be able to raise them to be how Paul would want.

Pauly!! I miss you SO MUCH! But I am so very grateful that I have the knowledge that I can see you again. I hope that you are off somewhere with all the loved ones you met in heaven fishing, camping, barbequing, swimming in a lake, and laughing like I know you would be if you were here. It still seems like your not really gone, and I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not. I am leaning toward good, maybe it just means that I can feel you watching over your boys, and your family. :) One year down, and a lifetime to go. Love you!

Happy Birthday to an awesome little man!

My nephew turned 3 on the 26th of February! It is so crazy that he is already 3!! I remember when the little old man was born!! (I call him a little “old” man because he looked like an old man! haha) See?

Kayson has come a long ways since he was a little man that had to live in an incubator! He is almost like a whole new person now days. He is talking SO much, and is such a happy little guy. For the most part he is always in a good mood, smiling and laughing and what not. His daddy always said he would talk when he was ready, and he definitely has decided he is ready.

Kayson is such a special little boy. He definitely has been different with learning things, and being at the same level as most three year olds, but I love him just the same. He tries hard. And he seems happy. So I think I am happy too.

For his birthday he had a party at McDonalds! He was SO ornery on his birthday, but I think it was because he wasn’t feeling up to par.

See, he was not a happy camper.

Not a lot of co-operation with the party goers. But that’s cool.

Oh little Kay man how I love you!!! I hope you had a good Birthday and that you are happy! I love you more then words can explain and feel like you are my off spring! haha! Never forget how special you are, and how loved you are by your friends and family!

P.S. If you are here to steal the pictures off my blog, DON’T. Everybody knows you were not a part of it, so don’t fake it. The lies don’t work anymore. :)

YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

Better late then never, Christmas!

Christmas turned out better then I thought it would, that’s for sure! We were quite the slackers when it came to shopping this year.  My family always starts Christmas Eve by having all sorts of snacks. We always have bean dip with tortilla chips, sandwich wraps, “little weenies”, Sugar cookies of course, brownie mounds, cheese balls, French onion dip, and soda!  After we ate and chatted a little, we headed down stairs to open up Christmas Eve PJ’s!

009

Obviously the big boys all got matching Spiderman. We tend to get them matching every year in fear that someone will get what another one wanted, resulting in mass chaos and tears. So, we play it safe! I got PJ’s that will never be seen on the blog because they were gigantic! I couldn’t even walk up the stairs with out them falling to my ankles! haha!

Before bed time, we had to get Santa’s cookies and milk out! 020

After the right cookies were picked, the little boys went to sleep, and Santa came!

Having little kids in the house makes Christmas so magical! It’s so much fun to watch them get excited about everything that has to do with Christmas. Having them around definitely brought my Christmas Spirit out a lot more then it would have been if they wouldn’t have been with us!

Dylan got a bike!

033

And Kayson got a scooter!

(I love his sleepy looking eyes in this picture!)

All three big boys got BB guns from my parents.

They were super excited, but we haven’t got to go shoot them yet.

For Christmas I got a Nook, as posted in a previous post, I also got season 1 of Glee. My Dad and Dylan and I have been watching it non stop. I have officially turned Charlie and Dylan into GLEEKS! I couldn’t be more pleased with myself! Charlie pretends not to like it. “Drama, Drama, Drama.” He says as we watch it, but I know he secretly loves it! I also got Glee Karaoke… that goes to show you how much of a Gleek I really am! AH!

All in all, Christmas was grand! We had very little drama, which was excellent!

Next Post: New Years Resolution, oh man how I am hating it!
